Plant Project Leaf Project Vintage Project
INTRO:
 

(PLANT and LEAF material
may be purchsed or
of your own growing.)

 Choose one or more plant of the following varieties:
  • any Harrington
  • any Allegro (Stromborg)
  • any Buckeye (Hancock)
  • any Stork
  • any Sorano/Lyon's
  • also include any vintage variety (see note at right)
 Choose one or more leaves of the following varieties:
  • any Mac's (McDonald)
  • any Maas' (Max Maas)
  • any Volkmann
  • Rob's Berry Shake
  • Newtown Ohio
  • Frosted Denim
  • Amethyst
  • s. ionantha
  • also include any vintage variety (see note at right)
 Choose one or more leaves or plants of any vintage (25 years or older) variety.
At the beginning of this Vintage Project,
you will include your vintage variety plants and/or leaves
as part of the
PLANT and LEAF PROJECTS. 
We will have specific activities for our vintage varieties throughout the next 8 months, including a Vintage Swap next spring!
Oct 10-15th, 2007
 When you have the plant in your growing area:
1) Post a photo of the plant/s to the Plant Project Photos album.
2) Sign in to the Plant Projects messageboard. 
List the variety names of your plants, and how many leaves each plant has, as well as a summary of how they are potted, how they will be grown, etc.		 When you have your leaves in your growing area:
1) Post a photo of the planted leaf/leaves to the Leaf Project Photos album.
2) Sign in to the Leaf Projects messageboard. 
List the variety names of your leaves, as well as a summary of how they will be grown, etc.
As We Begin:
Please include your plants/leaves of vintage varieties in the PLANT and LEAF projects to the left!
October to December, 2007
 We will race to
  • 'First Bloom' 
  • 'Fifteen leaves'
 We will race to 
  • 'First Mouse Ears'
  • 'First Transplants'

January to February 2008
 Here, we will each decide to grow our plants on

  • part of an AV Experiment
  • or simply 'For Fun'
